explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments

When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Note: you must add a full line of space before and after lists for them to show up correctly
First fill out all the details like question name , question contents , answer and then try selecting the level . Just recently , a similar problem occured to a friend of mine @Nihar Mahajan , he tried refreshing the page and it worked just fine for him If the problem still persists , I'm sure Calvin sir will be happy to help you out .
The screenshot that he shows me, reflects the current process. IE, The topic and difficulty level fields cannot be selected until an answer has been entered.
So, if he is experiencing a bug, he should show me a screenshot where the answer has been entered, but the topic and level hasn't been unlocked.

Hmm , I tried telling him that too in the other note of yours "Reporting Problem..." but he got excited and posted his own note and missed out on what I and @Rajdeep Dhingra were trying to tell him . But I guess the problem is solved and he won't make the same error again :)
For problems that do not have a level set by the creator, we add levels when the problem starts to become popular. Not every problem will get a level added.
Update: There is an issue where if you toggle over to the "number" format, then the topic and level field will still be unavailable. We are working on fixing this issue, and I will update this note when it is done.

Even I am currently posting a problem , I too have the same setup , but when I click it , I am able to select the level .

In a recent problem, I'd forgotten to add the level. Why doesn't the level be determined by itself? It is currently at 10 points ....

Update: We have fixed this issue, so that once you enter an answer in "Number", you can select the topic.
