HAHA! XD...I must say as the others say the culprit is Social Science. In TN you wouldn't believe but cutoff for General Cat. is 133/140. Its too damn high and missing a few questions will cost y'er a lot. Since each state has different syllabi I dont think my ranting here would help. FYI- We don't even have access to sample papers or last year paper. :( Anyway -Best of Luck and wish me the same too. We'll meet here on 2nd November again.

How many candidates get selected from TN?
From General group its always less than 70 coz there's reservation for SC/ST/Ortho. Total is 256.
Really!! What books to refer for NTSE? I am going to try to attempt NTSE this year and I am also from TN. Please help me and could you refer some websites for preparation. Thank you in advance @Krishna Ar

You can refer to the book of TATA Mcgraw hill education because it is really useful and very clear for MAT . For SAT you have to study state board books of class 10 and class 9 . Unfortunately, it is a great disadvantage for CBSE students

Hello to all my fellow Brillianteers! I am a student of class 10 and am going to give NTSE this year from Chhattisgarh I wanted to ask all of you a simple query- I have heard that for SSC of stage 1 we should refer to state board books. IS this true? If yes do you know from where these books can be arranged(govt doesn't sell them in normal shops i think)? And which classes have more weight age in social(6,7,8 or 9 and 10) ? @Aaron Jerry Ninan @Thomas Jacob @Rishabh Bhatnagar @Satwik Banchhor
