You know many people are getting all the factors of a number to find how many factors they have, but there is an easy method for that. Factor the given number. Given number: (24) = 2^3 , 3 After factoring the given number, get the exponents of the factors, (exponent of 2 is 3, exponent of 3 is automatically 1) Exponents: 3 and 1 Add 1 in each exponents, so (3+1 = 4) (1+1 = 2) Multiply the sum of the exponent and 1, so (4 X 2 = 8) So the number of factors that #24 has are 8. List of the factors of 24: 1 = 1st 2 = 2nd 3 = 3rd 4 = 4th 6 = 5th 8 = 6th 12 = 7th 24 = 8th
