I am slightly confused why only one solution per topic is allowed. I see some reason why it might be a good idea to limit solutions, but I do not think that one solution per topic is a good way to do this. Someone might have multiple interesting solutions they might want to share. I have a few ideas:
- Make a discussion forum for each problem, so that other solutions may be posted (while not being voted on), and so problems can be discussed.
- Make posting a solution cost some points (50?), while each upvote gives points (10?).
- Allow one solution to be posted in the first couple days, while more can be posted later in the week.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Hi Daniel,
I wanted to get back to you. We are seriously considering all of those suggestions.
We think suggestion 2 is very novel and clever in particular. Thanks!
