Hello everyone I'm a 7th semester Mechanical Engineering student and i'm working on my final year project, the design phase. I'm specifically working on the conceptual design which requires that i do position, velocity, acceleration and dynamic force analysis on an open kinematic chain mechanism..but i have searched and searched online for a method and cannot find one..
I know how to do analysis for closed chain mechanisms but for open chain mechanism, I have no clue.. If someone knows how to do position, velocity, acceleration and dynamic force analysis on an open chain mechanism (3,4,5,6 bar mechanism) please do help because it will help me with my final year project..
Thank you

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.
