This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

As I commented in your previous post, I would definitely tell you to go for Titu Andresscu's books. They are the best. Also, try some other internet olympiads like NIMO, USAMTS.
And you may try previous years AIME papers, they are much equivalent to RMO.

NSEJS-Do class 10 CBSE/ICSE. Do as much as possible and try to learn the properties of elements well. RMO :- do 10th math well and make sure to do previous problems. You have all level 5's. These 2 should be pieces of cake for ya! :D
Hi! Congrats ! It's a remarkable feat. Could you kindly provide me with preparation procedure and tips? Thanks and best of luck for the OCSC :)
Congrats to you too @Mvs Saketh . All the best for the OCSC. I request you to kindly provide me with preparation strategies and as to how you managed scoring this high! Thanks :D
If you are seriously preparing for JEE, then your chemistry automatically improves , also going to coaching helps, one tip I would like to seriously give is to increase memorising power, well understading of chemistry is important but one has to memorise many exceptions and facts.
Thanks ! Did you prepare specifically for InCho or was Grade-11,12 and JEE prep enough for it? Normally, how many hours of study do you put in for all these exams? BTW, is the JEE portion starkly different from 11-12.. or is it just the same at a slightly higher level?

The core syllabus of JEE is of 11-12 CBSE , but the questions in JEE are largely application based and one has to practice them deeply in order to complete them in time .
@Ronak Agarwal
–
Exactly. Did you do any special preparation for the olympiad? or did regular JEE/boards suffice?(I'm asking this because its highly necessary for stuff like RMO-INMO , because its different)
@Krishna Ar

For physics,chemistry in olympiads again the core course is of Regular Boards , again questions are non-conventional and practice of such problems is needed for clearing them.
There are no strategies as such :) just have a clear understanding of all concepts of physics, and when you are ready, test yourself by solving past year APHO and IPHO problems. that is enough. and yes love for physics as well :)
As for chemistry, i really mean it, learn from your coaching class books and CBSE , i had lots of trouble with chemistry till recent when i completed board syllabus thoroughly and studied inorganic chemistry and revise the necessary stuff from time to time. It is not as hard as it looks when you look at JEE advanced paper once you completely study it without skipping stuff. As for physical chemistry, i think a thorough understanding of thermodynamics is enough for thermodynamics, electrochemistry, ideal gas theory, and even equillibrium chapter to some extent, solid state simply requires you to actually understand instead of mugging it up like no. of tetrahedral voids = 2N
That is all i got, i believe they work as now i am able to pretty much easily solve most chem questions after doing that.
Congrats Mvs Saketh Ronak Agarwal Sheshansh Agrawal and could you guys please tell me how much should i get in NSEP and NSEC to appear for INPHO and INCHO
