The new layout has made the past problems and solutions disappear. Will they ever reappear or are they gone forever? They were always a great resource for me to learn new things but seeing that they are no more, I am negative towards the new layout.
This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I found the first link by clicking the #mechanics tag. I searched for the second one in my browser history. Note that the first one has no user submitted solution while the second one does. But new users are going to solve the first one [as it's under the mechanics tag]. So whatever solution was written before is completely useless [I do hope I'm wrong here though] in this new layout.
I'm re-sharing this and I hope the staff notices this.
Yes, that is true. When we share an old problem, it interprets it as a new problem, and all the solutions submitted are vanished. All previous records of that problem are removed, and thus the problem is treated as a fresh problem, and the hence coming solutions are entertained. I don't think that this was intended by the staff, maybe a glitch kind of thing.

True, I dislike the new layout too. I don't yet know if the Live Problem Set has vanished forever, or is hidden somewhere and I cannot find it!
The past problems haven't disappeared. They are under the started tab on your homepage.
The solution issue is indeed a great one. Below are two links of the same problem.
