"People You Follow" Bug

I like looking at the box under the "Topics you follow" box to see how other Brilliantians streaks are doing. One of those was that of Ammar Fathin Sabili, who had one of the longest ones (120+ days). However, that has disappeared from the box today, though I had seen him there yesterday. I checked to see if this was just with one person, but I saw that I am following 32 people (not including the Best of feeds), but 10 of them weren't appearing in the box. Is anyone else experiencing this?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

We only show people who currently have a streak, or recently had a streak.

What do you mean? There are 5 people on the list for me that have no streak, and Ammar solved a problem 3 hours ago to extend his streak to 122 or so.

Update: We've investigated this problem some, and cannot really see how it is happening or replicate it ourselves.

Can anybody confirm that this problem is still happening? If so, can you flip between the different filters ("By points", etc) and see if the missing people are still missing? If there are, please report your OS and Browser...

Thanks! Silas
