This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

@Mahdi Raza

The percentile rank of a score is the percentage of scores in its frequency distribution that are equal to or lower than it. For example, a test score that is greater than 75% of the scores of people taking the test is said to be at the 75th percentile, where 75 is the percentile rank.

It may mean the same thing in Brilliant too

I just saw this question and realized that I haven't found this word on Brilliant, where is it? Also, I wish to know how levels are categorized in Brilliant because I feel both percentile and levels are somewhat related, although I still don't remember any place where I could see my percentile rank. Thanks for asking this question!

@Vinayak Srivastava Ask @Brilliant Mathematics if this a bug. I don't know much about this thus I was asking as well through this discussion

Mahdi Raza - 1 year ago

@Mahdi Raza Now I even tried it with the View Mobile Site and couldn't see there also.

All I see is this:

Current streak: Quizzes finished: Problems solved:

Then all the courses and their meter that shows how much I've done

Then problems tried where I can click on any day to see the problems I tried.

@Brilliant Mathematics, I can't find the section which shows my percentile, could you please help?

I don't think you are in the top 100 (or some other number) percentile

That's why you can't find it @Vinayak Srivastava

@Hamza Anushath, maybe that is the case. Can you see the section?
