PERFECT DEMOCRACY

Hi all!!!

I've been thinking about this for quite some time now... 2 questions have been lingering in my mind, so I might as well share it with you and gather your opinions...

  1. What is your idea of a perfect democracy?
  2. Does a perfect democracy exist in the world, or is it just a model that all democracies must strive to become?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

My idea is: No country is a perfect democracy as every democracy has to realise the ideals of democratic decisionmaking. This cannot be achieved once and for all. This requires a constant effort to save and strengthen democratic forms of decisionmaking. Well in Norway was in 1st place for 2019 with a function goverment of 9.64 and no country has a perfect democracy because human have the power to not make peace and perfect, humans have the power to damage and destroy thing. For examples: war, protest, bombs and nuke bombs

LOL the democracy is a big .... The perfect organization in the world isn't democracy, so why do you need democracy? I think if your IQ is 160 you are better than a man with IQ 80, so the democracy is a big .... If we have a program, which can see the talents of everybody, then we can use the people in the best places. But if we have democracy, then we will get anarchia(like USA) LOL The first question should be why do we need democracy?

Read the Divergent Series by Veronica Roth, watch movies also if you want, Its exactly what you say @Páll Márton, they test everyone with a special simulation that shows their strengths and weaknesses. They are still given the freedom to chose though so its a bit of an ideal soceity, except the fact that evil people assume power through corruption. I won't spoil the story, so read it :)
