This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Hi @Sreejato Bhattacharya , We think you are a cool person to follow on Brilliant. So we put you here. I was wondering if you would mind editing your short summary on your profile so that people see something other than an incredibly long ellipse on that page?
BTW, we have read and reread your note very carefully, and are going to strive to find ways to insure good problems, and increase the volume of them. Thanks for your well composed thoughts.
INMO didn't go very well. The time limit was a big trouble, as I expected, although the problems weren't that hard (I'd say the INMO this year was easier than other years, I should have been able to do better). I didn't qualify, I'm not sure if I'll even make it to the merits. :( Hopefully I won't mess up next time.

Ohh well, we like your math a lot and appreciate your thoughtful solutions and taste in problems. In my opinion, one of the greatest privileges I have gained from no longer being a student is no longer having to worry about time limits when I do math. We'll hold good thoughts for you for next time!
Hello @Peter Taylor , I definitely found it!
It seems like a method that could definitely work, albeit slightly unconventional. So is this a permanent Board that contains chatty conversations and is open to the public?
The way you create one of these, is simply create a note, and check the box that says, "Post to set." Checking this, means that the note is created, but not reshared out to all you followers. If you check this option, after publishing your note you can then choose which set to save it to so that you can always get back to it easily. My message board lives here.
So in other words, this is just a re-branded Note. It is public, meaning anyone could find it by visiting my profile, but it is only easy to find if I invite somebody into it with an @mention. You should definitely make one :)
Hi Peter,I mailed you a few days ago but didn't get a reply...maybe life is keeping you busy but when you get a bit of free time try to take a look at them...thanks in advance....
What do you do as the Community Manager ? I see that @Calvin Lin sir gets to interact with all kinds of people from around the world and that too on a regular basis , but you don't seem to interact a lot . I'm sure that you must have an interesting job than Calvin sir's !
Do you mind sharing it with us sir ?
Thanks for the same :)
Please post some questions sir ! I am eager to try out problems from you and the rest of the staff !
Dude, that is an epic picture of you. Where were you when that was taken? Also, your note has been accepted into the "Messageboards" set. Congratulations! :D
That picture was taken on the flat side of a place called Abert Rim. I try to camp on the edge of Abert Rim most years near my birthday. It is one of my favorite places on Earth.

Wow, if that isn't the picture of human beauty.

Hi @Justin Wong , can you find my message board? I am trying to see if this is a viable method of enabling more chat like messaging on Brilliant.
