I noticed that in the Desmos Scientific Calculator that when I entered πie\pi^{ie}, it returned undefined. Can somebody calculate the value of πie\pi^{ie} for me?

Note that if aa is a positive real, then ai = (elna)i = eilnaa^{i\ }=\ \left(e^{\ln a}\right)^{i}\ =\ e^{i\ln a}

Now, using Euler's Identity, we have ai=cos(lna)+isin(lna)a^{i}=\cos\left(\ln a\right)+i\sin\left(\ln a\right)

For your question, a=πea=\pi^{e}

Hence πie (0.9995 )+ i(.0298)\pi^{ie}\ \sim\left(-0.9995\ \right)+\ i\left(.0298\right)

Glad to help....you can also try to find the expression for the case when aa is negative...
