: A statement that apparently contradicts itself and yet might be true.
Paradox are interesting because they can be a good topic of argument. Also I personally love paradoxs besause they are complicated some times and some are also related to Maths.
Here are the couple of Paradoxs which i like:
Let be the number which is not intresting. This infact makes the number intresting. So is the number intresting or not ?
Does the set of all those sets that do not contain themselves contain itself ?(Explained below) Let and be the sets.
So
Also here is one of paradox (kind of ) which I made.
What is the Probablity that the answer to this question is ???
Please share your view on the paradox (kind of) which I stated above. And also share some of the paradox which you like below...

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Yea! that's interesting. I really like paradoxes. Here is one of them which I really love (although it isn't a mathematical one)
I remember I once saw a TV programme "Into The Universe With Stephen Hawking" on Discovery Channel. There he described paradoxes. One of them was -
"Suppose you have somehow build a time machine. Now you open up a kit containing parts of a revolver. You assemble all the parts and then load the revolver with bullets. Now you go into past, 5 minutes back,(the time when you have actually not setup your revolver) via the time machine and you shoot yourself (the man which belongs to your past who was kinda going to assemble the revolver) using the same revolver."
Here comes the twist. First of all, when the revolver has actually not been assembled then with what have you killed yourself and the second part is : is it really possible to kill yourself in past, if a time machine would have existed..
Thinking of the above topic still fills me with enthusiasm. Hope you liked it.
Thanks.

Yes the paradox you stated is also one of my favourite paradox. It is one variant of the grandfather paradox.
Why not add it to the paradox wiki?

Ok, I'll do it right now.
"Today is opposite day".... I'll let you think about that one :P

Going round in circles now...
It's a nice post !
Do you think that you could add it to the Paradox wiki here on Brilliant ?
Thanks :)

That's a great idea!

Yes! And it reminds me , is there any wiki or any paper that you are working on currently or plan to do so in the near future ? I'm a great fan of yours !
Pls just inform me if you write a paper , since I always praise you in front of my friends and I have told them all about the fantastic papers that you have written .

So is it a yes for adding this to the wiki ?
Yes.................
Actually, I was about to write another wiki/paper. But then I suspended it because I think right now board exams are far more important than any other work. So, currently I am focused with my board exams. But as soon as they finish I'll definitely complete that paper. (Hint : It's gonna be somewhat related to a new kind of expansion which I found recently)
Also, once the JEE Mains is done, I've decided to add a wiki on Summations, which has been much requested by all users. And I hope you will help me with that. ⌣¨
Thanks.
