Now, more plagiarism issues. I sometimes wonder, do people even check what is copyrighted and what is not? Many times, no. The biggest example is Minecraft, you know, the 3D block building world builder game.
Is it me or are people misunderstanding what Mojang actually copyrighted in Minecraft? They copyrighted the Ender stuff, the nether stuff, creepers, the default skin, the default texture, redstone stuff and the logo/menu. Nowhere does it say the copyrighted 3D terrains made of blocks. Yes they are famous for that, but it wouldn't be plagiarism to make a block based game. All over the App Store I see reviews for games like that with horrible (and very rude) reviews because yes, I look at app reviews when I'm bored. Now, you have people accusing people for copying Minecraft by saying they plagiarized something that wasn't even copyrighted in the first place. What about flappy bird? The insanely popular game that I wouldn't be suprised if it had the top 10 most downloads What do people think about that? Well, hmmm, pretty much anything I search there is some copy of it. I look at the reviews for many and guess what, nobody accuses them of plagiarism. How odd, wouldn't you say? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
Sorry I don't upload much, I get busy with school

The wikipeida definition of Plagiarism is the "wrongful appropriation" and "stealing and publication" of another author's "language, thoughts, ideas, or expressions" and the representation of them as one's own original work.
Plagiarism doesn't apply only to Copyrighted material. It can also apply to "ideas". No one really contests the fact that Minecraft was one of the first to build a block based game. It is also very comprehensive, having used most of the ideas which can be used in a Open World block based game, with mobs, crafting, circuits. This means that other Block based games don't really have a lot of ideas to implement to differentiate it from Minecraft, though there are a few exceptions like Terraria, Towns, etc. This pretty much results in games which have very minor gameplay differences from Minecraft, which is why they are called out for Plagarism.
On the other hand, Flappy bird isn't as rare of a concept like Minecraft.. It became famous mostly because it became viral. It wasn't a game which had a innovative new idea, it was just a basic arcade game. So any derivatives of the game, though technically plagarising, aren't called out for it because the original game itself, wasn't a very unique or original idea.
Think of it like buildling a building. Suppose you build a copy a random generic block shaped office building. It is technicallly plagarism, but the idea is itself so commonplace, that no one will call you out for it. One the other hand, if you try to build a copy of the Pantheon, even with some changes, people will call you out for plagarism, even though the Pantheon is not "copyrighted".
Also, Apps on the app store are limited to a phone or tablet, reducing the level of complexity and the number of ideas and concepts that can be in a game. If you search for PC games on Steam on the other hand, you're more likely to find block based games which aren't plagarised, since the power of a PC allows developers to build games with a lot of different ideas.
