Preparation For Competitive

Hi Everyone! My name Saaket .I'M going to appear for 12 boards (WB) in about 7 months, and for the competitive exams in about 8 months.I have studied, but i don't think much if I need a very good result.

Some of my friends are really scaring me saying that now even studying 24-hrs a day won't help. Have I done a bit late, or can i get good result if i start working hard now? I know that many of you have tonnes of experience.

Please help.
