Circle A has a circumference of 24. Arc BC has a length of 0.5 and arc DE has a length of 0.05. Both reside on the circle's circumference. What is the probability that the arcs share a length?
Hopefully someone can explain to me how I can solve this problem in a way that I can solve other problems just like it.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

I chose Probability as the topic but somehow the hashtag is Combinatorics.
