Problem rating?

I've noticed that every time I solve a problem (aka, I have to view the problem in order to submit), I lose rating. Can the brilliant staff fix this bug?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.

It is not a bug, but the intended behavior.

It is intended that clicking to view a problem to answer it results in an initial drop in the rating. If you solved a problem correctly, your (net) rating will increase.

Yes, but every time I solve a problem (correctly), I still end up losing rating (this may have been the case yesterday though; didn't really test out today)

I find this feature annoying. As I go through a feed, I open up a "Solve" tab for every problem I find that looks interesting, so that I can go between the problems easier (and not forgot which ones I was working on). Also, sometimes a problem is not fully shown in the feed, so I have to click the Solve button to see it.

What is the motivation for this feature? I think losing rating for getting a problem wrong is good enough.

However, I would like to say that I really like this new rating system overall. This particular feature is the main thing I don't like about the new system.

Sometimes, even when I solve a problem correctly, my rating drops.

Sometimes after solving a problem, i notice that the rating of the problem also changes.
