  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

If you click "preview public profile" then you can see how many problems (overall) you have solved, which most likely is not zero.

Note to the others who say "no, it's not zero problems solved" or the like, try opening the profile editor (click your name on the top-right corner and then click profile) and scroll to the bottom (of the editor not the preview which is made public). Me too, in the editor it says I have solved 0 physics problems, though I've solved >0>0 physics problems.

I have seen this too and i believe Tushar has this same problem, not the problems about 0 solutions.

Nishanth Hegde - 8 years, 2 months ago

Hi Tushar,

Can you confirm that Shendy is talking about the same problem as you? E.g it seems that the number of problems you have solved is correctly displayed on your public profile.

Is the problem that in the Editor it claims you have solved zero problems, but then displays the correct number when you are done editing?

If that was the problem we just fixed it. Let us know if we have misunderstood.

@Peter Taylor Hooray! You fixed the problem on my profile page. It was certainly not working two hours. Thanks.

Adam Silvernail - 8 years, 2 months ago

@Peter Taylor Thanks for fixing the problem............Brillinat is an excellent site......Keep up the good work

Tushar Gopalka - 8 years, 2 months ago

@Peter Taylor Thanks for fixing the problem! Now I can see how much problems I solved in the editor!

Shendy Marcello Yuniar - 8 years, 2 months ago

thanks

Tushar Gopalka - 8 years, 2 months ago

dude !! that one is when you are asked to give a solution to the " HARD " Problems !! You have solved 64 problms i see !!

Mihir Sriram Arnala - 8 years, 2 months ago

No it doesn't.

Carl Joshua Quines - 8 years, 2 months ago

It's regarding solutions, not problems. Till now you have not received a chance to give a solution..that's why it is zero. Don't worry very soon brilliant may ask you ...when you solve a tough problem correctly.

Athul Nambolan - 8 years, 2 months ago

I am also facing the same problem .While in editing-mode my profile shows 0 Mathematics problem solved & 0 Physics problem solved. While viewing public profile of any user including one's own profile we get information about total problems solved by the user.

Vinay Shikhar - 8 years, 2 months ago

Hey you have solved 64 problems and 0 SOLUTIONS submitted
