A woman shoots her husband. Then she holds him under water for over 5 minutes. Finally, she hangs him. But 5 minutes later they both go out and enjoy a wonderful dinner together. How can this be?

Let us start with the assumption that the husband dies after being hung. Death in medical terms is defined as a gradual systemic shutdown followed by an absence of criteria that define life. Criteria that define life include movement. Now since the wife and the husband dine together after the husband had been hung, he exhibits movement, thus exhibiting life. This contradicts our assumption that the husband died after being hung since he has exhibited at-least one criteria that defines life. Hence we can derive either of the following two conclusions:
1) the husband didn't die despite being hung <or>
2) the husband was either a cyborg or an extra terrestrial.
Mostly the answer lies in option 2.
+Pgv depends upon choice...lol. By the way, the correct answer is what +Timothy and +Jamie have stated..she took a picture of her husband and was processing it.
The woman was taking a picture of her husband. In the early 1900's this process of producing a photo from a film which is soaked at a solution was popular and it only through this process that you'll obtain your photo. It is then hung and after a while your photo is finished.
That question is grammatically incorrect, how could a photo, shot by a camera, is referred to 'him' in the sentece : "Then she holds him under water..." and "... She hangs him"
Now here is something to think about: most children in today's digital world wouldn't have any use for this knowledge anymore, and thus not be privy to the cleverness o_O
It may also be that she shoots him with a baby toy, holds him under water while he is wearing an oxygen mask, and then hangs him with a cloth hanger on his shirt or coat.
she shot him but he was wearing something to defend him then she held him under water with oxygen to breath then she hanged him while he was standing on a chair so he didn't die and finally they went to dinner
well of course she "shoots" in the sense that she records his footage in camera..now she would take the pic and put it in water and for drying up she would "hang" the pic on some line or something. After that they can have the awesome dinner

this is the real answer lol

this is the answer.
He was Chuck Norris in disguise. Period.
it was film shooting
That question is grammatically incorrect, how could a photo, shot by a camera, is referred to 'him' in the sentece : "Then she holds him under water..." and "... She hangs him"
Maybe she is in deep sleep
just simple...a woman just shoots her husband ,this doesnot mean that her husband died .It can also be possible that the bullet in gun is empty
She shoots him,drowns him,hangs him but he doesn't die.Finally they'll have a nice dinner
whats mean by slope ?
dis is actually vry witty
Yeah its correct. Taking a picture.
yup correct!!!!!!!!!
photos cant be referred to as "him"!!
shoots her husband means photo shooting...and photo developing....then she goes out with her real husband
Now here is something to think about: most children in today's digital world wouldn't have any use for this knowledge anymore, and thus not be privy to the cleverness o_O
Indeed her husband is superman and she was trying to help him with something he got struck into his wind pipe.
Maybe she was doing all this in her dreams(i.e.,while asleep),and woke up and went to dine.
It may also be that she shoots him with a baby toy, holds him under water while he is wearing an oxygen mask, and then hangs him with a cloth hanger on his shirt or coat.

bogus
she had dinner with her husband's ghost
The woman shot her husband with a camera.
i see that jamies answer more logic
first she took his picture then went to swimming pool and finally enjoyed a wonderful dinner together, simple!
she shot him but he was wearing something to defend him then she held him under water with oxygen to breath then she hanged him while he was standing on a chair so he didn't die and finally they went to dinner
well of course she "shoots" in the sense that she records his footage in camera..now she would take the pic and put it in water and for drying up she would "hang" the pic on some line or something. After that they can have the awesome dinner
Cool Problem :D

actually at first they went on a dinner as it is mentioned AFTER 5 min and then the women killed her husband gradually
She takes his picture with a camera and processes the picture.
