Recombinant DNA technology, joining together of DNA molecules from two different species that are inserted into a host organism to produce new genetic combinations that are of value to science, medicine, agriculture, and industry. “Recombinant DNA technology comprises a mixture of techniques, some are new and some are borrowed from other fields such as microbial genetics. There are five (5) most important techniques in recombinant DNA technology it includes: (1) restriction nucleases, (2) Rapid sequencing, (3) nucleic acid hybridization, (4) DNA cloning, and (5) genetic engineering” (Alberts, B. and Bray, D.).

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.
