- Ideas - I want my problems shaped by you guys seeing that my ideas always has a few downsides...
- UKMT - If anybody want to post me UKMT problems, mention me and highlight UKMT in red - go to the United Kingdom Mathematics Trust Website for more info, past papers etc.
- Collaboration - I want to see people working together
- Announcements - I will announce:
New Problems
Addition of New Rules (you guys can add too, just ask first...)
Ban (temporary - 1 hour) (if I'm not around, I ask Brilliant Mathematics to give the temporary ban)
- LaTeX - I need to see LaTeX in order to see numbers, solutions etc.
Enjoy!

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Can anyone argue with me on the value of 00
Log in to reply
I will like to see your opinions on the value...
indeterminable is not an accepted value...
It's either 1,0 or undefined according to what field of mathematics - BRILLIANT has posted a video about this on Youtube...
Also, this is not my opinion, this is BRILLIANT's video's opinion...

You have been given exception 1 for using the i dont know what to say emoticon
this is the reason for the ban
For a good excuse that you can make, comment back on this thread

But when I send this emoticon...
You do not agree that the emoticon means "equal to D" (whatever D is...)
P.S.
This is a joke @Yajat Shamji
I repeat, this is a joke (though i dont think it is a good one)
Thanks for wasting your time on this comment thread...

P.S. Can you teach me emoticons?

=D means you are happy, as when you turn your head till you notice the D as a smile, you get a smiley face!

Er...this may be just a random thought, but I just found something about 512.
51−2=49
12−5=7 (look at it backwards)
49=72
Can you find more numbers like that?

I don't understand this comment @Sachetan Debray
Do you @Yajat Shamji?
@Sachetan Debray is trying to say, find other numbers like 512 that when the third digit is subtracted from the first two digits, it produces a square number and when the first digits is subtracted from the last two digits, it produces the square root of the third digit subtracted from the first two digits (i.e x2,x3−x1=(√(x3−x1,x2)2).

I like it, but please read Rule 6, @Sachetan Debray
Is it fine now or did I mess up again? Is this how its supposed to look?
Oh, sorry @Sachetan Debray!
Do not add the inverted commas
They shouldn't be there, they should be excluded

I'm sorry, I don't know what Latex is. Is it some sort of formatting tool? But I can't see it in the easy Math editor, although I can see it when I'm posting a problem of my own. Does it not work for comments or something?
I got what it is. But I still can't find it in the formatting guide. @Yajat Shamji?
I used the Math expression, but that is not Latex, as far as I can tell. Once you tell me what it is, I'll surely follow the rule. I didn't know I had to use it separately for Math, so I used the normal format.
We should join the stuff enclosed with inverted commas
Yes, it is a formatting tool

Great, thanks!
Hey @Yajat Shamji, I just wanted to give you an idea for a question
Refined Reflection Problems
Brilliant hasn't done well with that... On the math style
What I am trying to say is, if we were to give the centimeter measurements for the light box, and show them where the looking glass is, the question is possible without trial and error. We just have to ask the angle as the question

Nice. Send me text and an animation (if possible). @Hamza Anushath

But before that, I have to mention...
I will also make questions on this topic

Does anybody here want to join me in the search for Quadruple Mersenne Numbers? I have already found Triple Mersenne Numbers...
