I would like a new feature request to access questions of other levels, without the additional gain in points.
For example, allowing a level 4 in Algebra and Geometry student to solve level 5 Algebra and Geometry questions but not get the points, but just for the experience and joy of solving questions.
There is although a debatable point. Should they be allowed to have as many attempts as they want, or just 3 attempts, like the others are given?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

Clarence,
Sorry for the slow reply. We are certain you are not the only person who would enjoy this. It is natural to be curious about what problems at the next level up look like. Many are curious about the easier ones as well. What prevents us from implementing the ability for users to view problems outside their level are concerns about increasing the ability for people to cheat. A current problem we combat is when people post our problems to question and answer sites like quora, math-stack exchange etc... If anyone could see problems outside their level, all it would take is one person to compromise an entire week of Brilliant's problems across all levels. Keeping people blind to problems outside their level reduces the risk of letting the answers out early in a given week.
As we understand it, your desire is to see more problems, possibly ones that are too hard for you and maybe ones that are easy for you just for curiosity's sake, and the joy and experience of solving them.
There might be ways we could gratify this desire without necessarily letting people attempt problems in the current weeks problem set. We'll think about it. Thanks for the suggestion.
I suggest the ability to view problems from other levels from previous weeks. This will prevent cheating and cure the curiosity :)
