I'd be using this post to help organize good problems which are lacking worthy solutions.
If you would like to see a solution to a particular problem, please state the problem title, provide a link to it and also state the topic. You can also @mention the creator, so that she/he is made aware. If the problem was already listed, you can upvote the comment. To keep this list reasonable, these problems should have been posted for at least a week.
If you added a solution to the problem, please reply to the comment. Once your solution has been upvoted several times, I'd then clear out the comment, so as to keep things fresh. (Do not post your solution as a reply)
Once someone has added a solution, I will push the comment to the top. Please can check their solution, and provide some feedback on it. If you have a different approach, add it and enlighten all of us.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

@Vishnuram Leonardodavinci and @Jon Haussmann , can you please add a solution to this problem?
I understand it sounds strange because I am myself in the recent solvers list. My approach to this problem is flawed (which I later realised). I will explain it in comments once the solution is posted.

I would like a hint or a solution to the problem Domino Domination..
My approach was to come up with a recursive definition of the process and then find the solution using a computer program but I couldn't do it.....Should the problem be approached in any other way??
Solve the recurrence relation, and you should be able to obtain an explicit formula. Check OEIS if necessary.
