Reviving The Old Brilliant

I was thinking about reviving the old Brilliant and developing a site for it. But my technical knowledge isnt the best and so I need somebody to help me.

The following is my site model:

  • All users submit problems and suggest a level for it. This goes to the Moderation board of the specified level.

  • If you are in Level 4 , you are in Level 3 moderation board and you can approve problems for Level 3 or suggest them for a higher/lower level, suggest edits/change answer and so on once you have solved them.

  • You have to vote for the initial queston rating which would then change dynamically. There are 12 types of initial rating as last two problems of Level 4 appear as first two problems of Level 5 and so on.

  • For approving the last two Level 5 problems you have to be in Leaderboard of Level 5 the previous week.

  • You wont be able to solve problem after you have solved it in Moderation Board

  • The most voted problems for a particular rating are selected to appear to the other users in the next week.

  • Users can submit solutions but they will be visible only after Thursday.

  • The rating of each Problem will dynamically adjust.

If there is anyone who knows good enough programming lets revive the old Brilliant and we wont need an external staff as it would be type of wiki.

Share your suggestions and contact me on meghprkh@gmail.com if you want to help me.

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

@Anubhav Singh If you could email me I will tell what you should try to learn and then how you can contribute

As I am not getting any help, I dont think I would be able to develop it. So shelfing off the project.

Very nice idea!! But building another website like Brilliant will be very complicated. Why doesn''t Brilliant squared includes a place called "THE OLD BRILLIANT" ? I think if Brilliant wants to have success in Brilliant squared that would be an incredible hit.
