RMO v/s Brilliant.org

I want to ask all of you that how can we compare the problem level of RMO and Brilliant.org. Means I want to know whether problems on Brilliant are of the level as that of RMO, specially Level 5 problems.Or they are of much higher or equivalent level as compared to RMO.

Yes, Level 4 problems touch RMO stage one level, The level five problems that are worth 180+ points are eligible to be asked in RMO-2. The 300 point problem, though, is abstract and chances are that such a problem won't be asked till INMO. Source-Gave RMO thrice., got 102/102 last year.

Typically, harder questions will have a higher point weightage. Your approach of looking at the point weightage of each problem would be a better gauge, since each level gets quite a wide range of problems in terms of difficulty.

Note that if the competitions require actual proof writing, it can be much harder than simply guessing a numerical answer and being extremely lucky. Of course, if you also include how we award points for your submitted solutions, then this begins to be similar to proof questions.

[I don't know much about the specifics of RMO/INMO, so won't be able to comment on their relative difficulties.]

I think level 4 is partially of RMO level, and level 5 of INMO level.

Is there any site similar to Brilliant? Online troubleshooting, etc. ... Even in disciplines other than mathematics.

yes!!! according to me ..RMO questions are of same as level 5 of Brilliant ...... so for that this is the best site to prepare for.. i guess.... or as we all know Mathematics is all about certainty...so i'm damn sure of that!!!

The most difficult problems of stage 3, along with stage 4 are eligible for RMO. However 300+ point problems wont be asked till INMO.

Prefer book of arihant publixation by rajiv manocha for rmo
Easily available at nearly rs 200 Best book for a rmo candidate Also follows syllabus i.e no diffrentiation or calculas

The geometry section of Pre-college is very useful................but if you want to go for problems along with solutions the arihant book may do the job for you as it contains previous yr questions of RMO nd INMO + solutions, but there are some printing mistakes and some logical ones too. Be sure to rectify them. Precollege also has a variety of questions and the style of writing is exquisite. ................Happy reading :)).......By the way what is"OCSC"??
