Hi I want to know that, deflection can be both attraction and repulsion also then how Rutherford concluded that nucleus has positive charge by just seeing that Alpha particle defected from its path(means deflected from nucleus).Nucleus can have negative charge also if the deflection is of attraction type.In these we can't take deflection as repulsion only. Please explain we???.I can't think that how he concluded that nucleus if of positive charge.
