Saw A Good Explanatory Note? Let Us Know

For those of you who have been poking my profile, you may have noticed that Arron and I have several sets of notes like Algebra Techniques and Olympiad Combinatorics which have not yet been reshared. (And now you know about them!). These notes serve to explain a concept in a clear, concise manner (as opposed to presenting specific problems), and are filled with posts from the technique trainer.

I know that lots of members have already written up great notes in the past few months, and they deserve to be placed in here. Please nominate posts which you think should be added to our list, by stating the title (preferably add a link), author, and which topic it belongs in. For example

Deriving Trigonometric Identities by Daniel Liu, trigonometry / geometry

We will also be creating sets for other topics like Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, etc, so feel free to nominate posts in those areas too!

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I really like my note Quantum Mysteries by the one and only @Finn Hulse. It should help you guys understand a lot of really unexplainable concepts in theoretical physics such as length contraction, time dilation, and the effect of gravity and how it's connected to time. Enjoy! :D

@Finn Hulse Take a look at the notes which are in the set, and you will understand what I am looking for. As stated, "these notes serve to explain a concept in a clear, concise manner, as opposed to presenting specific problems".

I do not see clear, logical explanations that are laid out in the single paragraph in the note. If you think the comments are helpful, you can work them into the note itself.
