Should Brilliant be Used in School to Help Students Learn?
Should Brilliant be used in school to help students learn? Why or why not? Tell me what you think. The Brilliant Staff can answer this question, and I'll answer it, too.
This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

I don't think brilliant should be used in schools; this is because there are very few self-driven kids in maths and sciences, and there are very few people who are actually talented in the field.
People who do maths and science must be driven; most people lack that drive and ambition for excellence and discovery. Brilliant should be for people who only want it, not for everyone.
I think Brilliant should be used to help kids learn because they can learn many things in math and science, but I don't think Brilliant should be used to help kids learn because there might be other sites that teach all subjects just as well as Brilliant teaches math and science, and because Brilliant is a bit costly for Premium. If they make everything on Brilliant accessible to free accounts and if the Brilliant Staff makes courses that teach other subjects just as well as Brilliant teaches math and science, then this site could become a typical learning site for people of all ages.
I thought the Mathathon was free, and the free daily riddles and courses are cool, as well as making problems, riddles, and discussions. But all the stuff on there, whoo, its hot! That'd definitely be useful for free users @Jeff Giff

I’m working on that: creating stuff that doesn’t need premium to access to yet is useful. See this
