This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.

Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

This question is from IIT JEE.
First multiply and divide by x i.e. divide the first term by x and multiply the 2nd term by x (which becomes x^m on going inside the polynomial). Now you can easily solve the integral by taking the new 2nd term as a variable say 't'.
Rewrite as : 6m1∫(6mx3m−1+6mx2m−1+6mxm−1)(2x3m+3x2m+6xm)1/mdx. Note that this the integrand has the form of : u′(x)[u(x)]1/m, where u(x)=(2x3m+3x2m+6xm)1/m.
Then the integral is : 6m1⋅(m1+1)−1⋅[u(x)]1/m+1=6(m+1)(2x3m+3x2m+6xm)m+1/m.
i gave this one, as usually as one sees the question he would take x^m common from the first part and than multiply inside the bracket and hence he will be TRAPPED and couldnt solve or if try it will be long compared to the way mentioned......................
