Squeeze space !

Main post link -> https://brilliant.org/assessment/submit-solvable/

Hello , I have just submitted some problems to Brilliant in the recent days and I'm experiencing lack of space for providing their solutions (for eg. Algebra questions)!

I mean , though we could write a big solution , we're not able to review it if it goes out of bounds .

I just wanted to request that - please provide us with some more space ( I mean widthwise )

Thank You

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

I'm uncertain what you mean. You can just continue typing your sentences. There is (currently) no bound on the length of the solution that you can submit.

Sir , what I meant was that , though we could write a big solution , we're not able to review it if it goes out of bounds , please look forward to it . Please refer Mursalin's comment for further explanation .

I hope you get it Thank You ,

I understand what you are trying to say. Let me clarify it for others. There's no way to scroll right (or left) while previewing the solution to a submitted problem and it is a problem. Take a look below:

Alt text Alt text

As you can see, it is impossible to see what is at the right end of the equation. There's no scroll-bar.

@Priyansh: I have a suggestion for you. Break up some of the big equations into smaller ones. Insert paragraphs in between (I know you can't always do that. Some equations won't make sense if they are apart).

@Mursalin Habib My heartiest gratitude to Mursalin H. for explaining further what I wanted to say .

By the way , the solution I gave for my problem indeed had a very long equation , which couldn't be broken further .

Thank You Once again !

Why would anyone need to do that? 1. A really long number 2. A long equation either has a lot of equal quantities, in which case it should be removed, or a large expression, which would be semi-incomprehensible, and so not suitable.
