Agh, I'm born in Sep 1998 :( These extracurricular nominations seem more frequent in recent months; is Brilliant.org really becoming that popular among colleges and seen as a valuable student source? I'm happy and amazed overall for Brilliant, just too bad that circumstances don't permit me to attend. Also, how many students have been nominated in the past for these events?

Same problem. December 1998 :/
the same as me
same here dude....age is the barrier
Same problem. Born November 1998
same in Sep :\
Will this happen the next year also?
We have to travel on our own cost?
Will students applying through Brilliant.org still have to pay the application fee?
What are some criteria for the selection process? And what courses are offered? (And what degree of knowledge should we have regarding our course of interest?)
Can't you wait four years for this to happen? Curse my age! I totally would love to go! It's too bad. :P

hey, Do not ever curse ur age...
Darn I was born in late 2001. I hope that another chance like this comes again.
I'm too young too

:(
After 4 years I would not be able to go. I missed it by a margin my birthday is on 28 November 1998
Log in to reply
I have the same birthday
Same here. being born in December, 2001 has its ups and downs
Log in to reply
But I'm in July 1994 ..only if I was a month younger
Hey, it was a year that Virginia won at National MATHCOUNTS. That's pretty cool. But yeah, we're probably the youngest users on the site. :D

What a good opportunity! But there's a lot of students who are better than me :(
Will Brilliant.org nominate students according to the points or problems they have solved?
from india or other countries who will travel so far just for a camp

Speak for yourself. /
it might seem like its just a camp buddy...but it will matter much more in the future...dont miss dis opportunity..or u might be repenting after a few years..
If only I was older......

And no offense, but I find this age limit a tad bit ridiculous.
Please inform me if there will be a list of some sort that mentions all the nominations. If so when will it be released. If not then how and when will we know if we are nominated?
Oh no! Iwas born on 28th September, 1998.

What do you mean?
Oh no I was born on November 1998
That is just fine, but what about 'Adventures of the Mind'? Isn't the nominee list ready yet? :(

Be patient. The last list will be rolled out next week. You will get an email if you are nominated or not. Peter says so.
Missed it by that much (September 29, 1998)
it's so far away :(
From malaysia? Thousands miles travelling..
hey? what's add a free response?
Although I satisfy the age criteria but “Apply for Stanford Summer College” button on my profile page is missing.

I'm running into the same problem
It couldn't work, How can I submit the form?
I tried, but doesn't reach, how can i find the admission form, isn't located here.
i dont like to go so far for a camp
I'm born in 1990 and I can't get it.....
It's really sad I'm too young for this... Would be amazing to go
it is too away to attain the program
agh..thats during my admissions...not sure if i'll be able to make it..
I wish I could go. But I cannot leave this period of time...
Oh man.. I just missed the financial aid date.. damn
It's really stupid on how they base it on age for the bulk of the qualifications. Considering Stanford, I would think they would at least make some compromises for kids that are above average though don't really make those age limits. :'(
I've done everything but the most I've seen is that they asked me where I first heard about the program. I selected Brilliant.org. Is that all I need to do.
do i have to also register on Stanford's website? @Stanford Summer College

Has anyone been here? My younger sister really wanted to get into their summer college but we're not entirely sure about this idea. Some summer colleges scare potential students with how hard they have to work. Not that it is bad but for highschoolers it might be a bit too much. I was hoping to find a place that will inspire her to further develop her math and analytics skills. Should she try?
OMG! i am born in September 1998.........isn't there anything that could help me out!
