Subscribing to solutions to a problem

Is there any way one can subscribe to email notifications whenever a solution to a certain problem is posted? If not, could the Brilliant staff please think about including this feature? I'm very interested in seeing various solutions people submit to my problems, and I have to go through each of my posed problems everyday in order to check if a new solution has been posted.

Also, can we stop getting emails whenever someone follows us in Brilliant? I find that particular feature pointless. Why would anybody want to get notified for followers while the list of followers has been arranged beautifully in a separate page? It's essentially equivalent to getting notified whenever someone votes one of your solutions up.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.

Thanks for your feature request, we will seriously consider allowing you to subscribe to a notification for when a solution is posted to a problem you like. I want that too and it seems like it would be a great way to keep track of the problems you care about.

To unsubscribe from receiving emails every time someone follows you, uncheck the box on this page. You can get there through account settings --->email, in the upper right hand corner menu.

You can also reach the email opt out page from the emails we send you. See the, "Unsubscribe from notifications about new followers" line beneath the email.

Regarding my second point, I guess I should have looked at my emails carefully instead of just posting it mindlessly here. Sorry.

No worries :) The unsubscribe buttons really aren't that obvious, we will consider making that more intuitive. In general, those are really important emails for making people who are new/first-time publishers feel good/encouraged about what they are doing. For people like you though, we could see why they are a nuisance.
