Suggestion for new topic

Hello, I think it would be really neat if Brilliant added a Chemistry topic because math is very much involved in Chemistry, especially in stoichiometry. I understand that it would be quite a lot of work to develop, but if a lot of people can contribute problems to it, I think it can work!

  Easy Math Editor

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

A lot of people want and have asked for chemistry, but sorry to say, I don't see it coming any time soon. The Brilliant staff has many more important things on their plate at this moment.

I think this would be awesome. I'm having a lot of trouble with lab math and I get rusty quick.

For those of you who are interested in building out Chemistry on Brilliant, and would be willing to spend time writing up great wiki pages over the next month, please send me an email (Calvin@Brilliant.org).

I support Mr.David because I am having a little trouble in stoichiometry myself and need some help but am unable to get it from anywhere. If you add mole concept and all that then do add a section on how to solve problems based on indicators like metyhl orange and phenolphthalein
