A Problem from Gaokao 2016 Algebra Level pending If a>b>1,0<c<1,
then alog (base b) of c < blog (base a) of c <---- Computer's answer (3rd choice down)
I did this: Suppose a = 9, b = 4, and c = 1/2.
Substitute these into the computer's alleged answer:
9log(base 4) of (1/2) versus 4log(base 9) of (1/2) ==>
9log(1/2)/log(4) versus 4log(1/2)/log(4) ==>
9/log(4) versus 4/log(9) ==>
9log(9) versus 4log(4)
9log(9) is NOT less than 4log(4)
