I read this somewhere recently that equating the lowest degree terms of a polynomial equation gives us the equation of the tangent(s) of the curve at the origin. But there are a lot of assumptions here. I don't really understand how this works. Can someone explain this or maybe give a link to the solution? It would be very helpful.
