The most Scalene Triangle

Imgur Imgur

This is a simple experiment: try to draw the most scalene triangle you can. That's all there is to it. Take a screenie and post it in the comments below.

If you don't know how to transfer your image on to the comments, here is how I do it:

  1. Draw your triangle

  2. Use snipping tool to capture it

  3. Save it on desktop

  4. Go to Imgur and upload it

  5. Get the Reddit link and copy it

  6. make a brilliant comment

  7. Write an exclamation mark and paste the link, and then you're done.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Heptagonal Triangle Heptagonal Triangle

This is one of the most interesting scalene triangles there is, with properties too numerous to list here!

Look up "Heptagonal Triangle".

Or simply use postimg.org to get the link to the picture and use this: ! [any text] (URL) as Sreejato Bhattacharya explained it here.

Ah, same difference. Process to get the picture on here is identical except for websites.

I surrender! BTW try to make the most isosceles, or the most equilateral triangles..... This is mind-blowing!

Satvik Golechha - 6 years, 10 months ago

What does 'most scalene' means? Can you please explain?

That's for your own interpretation.
