You see friends , my friend Aditya is a problem writer at JOMO .......... one of the questions this month was like -"What is the maximum number of regions in which 7 lines divide a plane into?" The way i got my answer was strange ..........please friends let me know was i correct or i just fumbled ...........
1 line can divide into maximum 2 parts 2 lines can divide into maximum 4 parts 3 lines can divide into maximum 7 parts 4 lines can divide into maximum 11 parts 5 lines can divide into maximum 16 parts . . . 7 lines can divide into 29 parts ...........
one can say I got it by intuition but is there a proper approach ?
