Unable to view your own posts' stats?

I noticed that whenever I look at my own creations, whether it be problems or notes, I cannot see the number of favorites and the number of reshares. Is this intended, a glitch, or is it simply because my posts aren't good enough for anyone to reshare/favorite?

Thanks,

Daniel L.

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

That's just an unfortunate glitch. We will get around to fixing it. In general i think, people tend to reshare your stuff a fair amount with some variance(as is human). For instance:

That did solidly, and I thought it was a pretty good read.

Thanks to know!

I suppose then, that your own problems being shown without any preview is also a glitch then? What I mean is this:

Imgur Imgur

as opposed to this:

Well, you can see the number of re-shares and favorites your problem has when you open it.

Imgur Imgur

But it would be nice if you could see re-shares in your newsfeed. And yes, it is a bug. I posted a note about this a while back.

Its nothing like that what you are thinking! We are no one to judge ourselves, its the world who judges us. So people who like our way of thinking or performance make us their favourites:) . Similarly people who liked your posts , make it their favourite. So instead of blaming your ownself, try to improve your posts & make more favourites....

Nashita Rahman - 7 years, 4 months ago

Me too. I also can't see any of my problem when I view it in my feed, like I can on other problems.

Finn Hulse - 7 years, 4 months ago

By the way, I believe this has been fixed once and for all.

Sorry for the wait, and please let me know if these stats still aren't showing up for people.

Hmm, I just tested it on a non-staff account. Can you show me a screenshot of what you see when looking at one of your own posts where the fave/reshare buttons should be?
