Under Construction?

When I click the problem in any section of Brilliant.org, some of the problems cannot be answered and then I found this

"This problem is part of the Brilliant archive, which is currently under construction."

If I may know, how long this condition will occur?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Why is this happening, @Calvin Lin @Suyeon Khim ? Will I be able to solve those problems again? I couldn't solve 2 problems because of this. Please do tell me because I eagerly wanted to solve those. I hope others would also like to know..

Hi Dani – Before 2014, Brilliant problems used to be in a different format. There were new problems each week, and they were available for only one week. You had to come back in that week in order to view the problem and solve it. When we switched to the newsfeed format, members were no longer able to access these problems, because they were in a different format from the newsfeed problems.

Our team has been working to make our archive problems compatible with the feed. Until a few days ago, none of these problems could appear at all in the feed or in search, but now those features are beginning to work, which is why you are starting to see them.

We hope to conclude the archive migration this week. When we do, all users who previously completed an archive problem will be able to access it via search or in their newsfeed, participate in solution discussions, like, reshare, and add the problem to a set. If you had not previously completed the problem, you will be able to do so by joining Brilliant Squared – the archive will be made available to all Brilliant Squared members.

Hi @Suyeon Khim . I have also noticed this. But don't you think that all questions should remain free for all. Features like sketch pad also require payment which I totally agree with since brilliant needs some sort of income to sustain itself. But the questions on brilliant should be availiable for all. Just a suggestion.

I totally agree with you. @Suyeon Khim , you should think about advertising for making revenue instead of making questions premium.

@Megh Parikh Why did anybody downvote my and Ashtik's coment?

@Megh Parikh I am not one of the downvoters, but I'd guess that they prefer that Brilliant try to avoid having a lot of advertising in the interface.

@Megh Parikh @Megh Parikh when u comment plz be a little polite.. But who is it disagreeing with me?????

@Ashtik Mahapatra I didnt mean to be impolite. I think that you might be thinking so as the D of downvote was capital but that was because I had copied the text. Sorry to anyone who might have been offended accidentally.

I have edited my comment and if its still impolite its because my english is a little bad.
