This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science
related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should
explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments
should further the discussion of math and science.
When posting on Brilliant:
Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

The numbers are in the form (ATK, BULLETNUM, BULLET-SPD(shots per secs), ENERGY)
The four character weapons-shotgun(3, 1, 1.5, 1)&nails(2, 3, 1, 1) ‘electrik‘ sword(4, N/A, 2, 0)&electric sword(3(bullet)+3, 3, 1.5, 2), along with the sceptres: Nature, Sea, Tesseract, Flame
@Jeff Giff, actually, I used Scratch four years before, I discovered Unity a year ago. I loved Unity with all my heart, and I made many small games in Unity. Platformer games and infinite runner games were my thing. But recently, I accessed my old Scratch account once more, and "maybe" improvised an old treasured game of mine. You can check it out here
If you actually do test it (spoiler alert: it is very bad in my opinion, I myself drew all the sprites by hand and mouse, that's why...), Please reply your thoughts on it

Five sceptres completed... Nature, Sea, Tesseract, Blaze, Death
Programming design: a float ‘property’ matrix for each weapon (Labelled with a number x), so that a[x][0]=ATK,a[x][1]=BULLLETNUM,a[x][2]=BULLETSPD,a[x][3]=ENERGYCOST,a[x][4]=BULLETTYPE.
a[x][4] will define the current costume of the bullet sprite, and also the matter of bullet motion(straight like a normal gun, spiral like Helix 🧬, laser etc.).
Nice Pixel art @Jeff Giff, but Unity's not really for me, I like programming everything, not drag and drop, so I use p5.js , an online code editor, for javascript. I'm pretty good at JS, so please stop @ mentioning me, 'cause I'm really of no use to you here. Ask me about programming theory and stuff though, I'll tell you all my secrets.....................

Well I’ve heard about the game on TikTok and thought it was awesome (especially the STORYLINE!!!) but never got to download it :P
Most of the Undertale videos show Sans in Undertale, Dustale, someothertale, and then the screen was filled with lasers... MEGALOVANIA ticking in a faraway distance

Thanks to photoscissors.com, I got to edit the white edges :) now the only thing left is to create a VisualStudio account to edit the code :)
@Jeff Giff@Frisk Dreemurr - There is a programmer called Dani on youtube. He makes cool games and funny videos. He also uses C++ in Unity and has some good and funny tutorials on his other channel DanisTutorials.

I think that you should have a much smoother idle animation. Only two frames would make it glitchy-looking
Log in to reply
Just an idea @Jeff Giff
Oh. I thought maybe two were ok, since SoulKnight works out fine. Also, the UI isn’t ready :)
Log in to reply
Maybe try four, or check my game's internal sprites. See how many sprites I used for the idle animation @Jeff Giff...
Bingo! For weapons, I should use a bigger size I’m Excel but shrink it in Unity to have better effects!
Log in to reply
Yeah, it would make the sprites look cool-looking as well
@Jeff Giff

Cool concept art
It actually reminds me of Soul Knight

Soul Knight was where my idea came from, but my graphics suck :D

You do? Cool @Jeff Giff! I used to as well (though now I stopped using Scratch...)

I mean "did you add the Collider2D and RigidBody2D components to the sprite @Jeff Giff?"

@Jeff Giff, I did a small change it the code. Better recheck to avoid bugs

I looked at your concept art and I got inspired to draw your same character (with additional yellow hair) in a different method of art
Log in to reply
@Jeff Giff, you can use this or ask any other types of art if you like.
I can draw wands as well
Wands? Awesome! Because I might be coming up with a cute witch character. Recently designing storyline :)

How ‘bout this @Hamza Anushath :) according to my graphics

It ‘glitches’ left and right a bit since I captured it with a difference of one vertical grid :D

Unity project started! Name: Deltarune(a permutation of Undertale :D)
Log in to reply
@Jeff Giff, DeltaRune is an actual game!
Did you play it, it is made by good ol' Toby Fox, a "sequel" to UnderTale
Type "deltarune.com" for more information and to download it ( it is free...)!
Other name suggestions
Dernu Tale
Lender Tau
Lune Tread
Alter Dune
Eden Ultra
Dealt Rune
Dual Entre
UnAlterEd
@Jeff Giff
Lunar Dart
Duel Earnt
But why only Undertale, so many other games are there???????? @Jeff Giff
Log in to reply
Because, someone actually posted a question about the permutations of undertale! :D
Undertale is quite famous
And I love the game as well @Percy Jackson

Dusttale is a fan game of Undertale
The Undertale is original from all, I love especially the soundtrack!
And it is Megalovania, not Megalonia
Consider the game like a bullet hell dodger
@Jeff Giff
K, fine
@Percy Jackson mention[10420647:Percy Jackson]
@Hamza Anushath, how can I define a vector in C#? Not mentioned on Runoob 😅

Constant, the direction one :)

Like this,
