I heard that the the force carriers for magnetic force is photon. Lets take Two magnets. Bring their poles together. Now there are virtual photons between the poles. Now using a carefully carved out diamond so that I can refract the virtual photons and further total internally reflected to some other direction so that they don't reach other poles and virtual photons gets converted to real photons. Now the system has lost some energy, in order to compensate for energy loss the mass of the magnet gets converted to energy and eventually the magnet vaporises. Will it happen?

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

what if the magnet just loses it magnetism ? (guess)
may be it loses its magnetism and becomes the metal without magnetic property in the end.(guess)
