vote against the new interface -- too much distraction!

This new interface totally sucks. It's like a drawing room/chat room (with your beer or smoking pipe) now; problems get mired under chatty "followers", and I have not quite figured out how the problem levels are sorted out. Any way to "turn back the clock"? I'd like to focus on the math and less on people!!! -- What do you expect of a nerd?
