I don't understand what we need to find in this problem...
I mean I don't understand the concept of 'expected'.
Does the answer demand that I count all the possibilities for consecutive heads like in case of occurrence of only one H, there is no possibility of getting a consecutive heads-pair.. And in case of two heads, there's a possibility of 24 because HH can occur at 24 distinct places in the toss .
Am I getting the problem right?

I think you are just misunderstanding the meaning of expected value but this should help. See side bar for parts 2 and 3.

I still do not understand how to use that concept in here...
