I accidentally flagged something today. Then I quickly unflagged it. So I was wondering, what does happen when you flag something? Does the user get an email? Do the staff get an email?
And I'm really sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused.
[I didn't know what to tag this with, so I tagged it with #Apologies]
Edit: I tried to tag it with #Apologies. Couldn't.

Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

I guess you mean "Request clarification or dispute"?
In which case, it sends an email to the user with the message you wrote. I don't believe that the staff get an email, but I wouldn't know.

No, I meant the 'flag as inappropriate' button.
I think what happens when something gets flagged is that it sends a notification to an admin, who will look at the problem. They shouldn't find anything objectionable, so they will ignore the notification.
Don't worry about the problem self-destructing because it was flagged. An admin would have to look at it first.

I'm not worrying about the problem (or the note) self-destructing. I really am sorry for any inconvenience caused on my part. Hence this note.

Hi Mursalin, it is no inconvenience. We wouldn't put the button there if we didn't want you to click it. All it does is flag something for an admin. In the future it will become a community moderation tool.
