What if I don't want to increase my level?

Hi, recently I was demoted from Level4 in Physics to Level 3.Fair enough, I did only one question last week. But I solved all the questions this week on level 3, which got me thinking. I am not able to do level four, but I can do level three quite easily. And in the future I may again be promoted to 4.But I want to stick to level three. Same goes for other two categories I am fine with level four of geometry and combinatorics, though I solved all the questions this week.Can I LOCK my level? That is, can I have an option if I want to increase my level or not?

We would definitely consider a system where you could level yourself down at will. We would prefer to just have people opt out of a level-up every time they are eligible, than permanently prevent themselves from considering whether or not they want to advance to a higher level.

Sir, I have a different query. For the questions which I've made, how is the level of those questions decided? Can that be done manually or does it changes automatically?

I guess, no you can't. Because locking a level will mean that you can neither be promoted, nor be demoted. But if that was possible, everyone would lock their levels, and would never get demoted. So they could do unlimited problems wrong! So this is not justified to happen.

I think Arshdeep is going more towards to option to bound your level, not lock it. For example, I could say that I don't ever want to be higher than a level four in geometry, but I could still be demoted to level three.
