What just happened to brilliant?

Hello folks. I just noticed that brilliant has changed a bit. I am more like a math guy and not much into physics(even though I'm good at it) but I do not solve any physics problems. I took the assessment in both Mechanics and Electricity & Magnetism and did not solve any problem later and now my level 5 rating in gone :(... Now if I am solving the problems there is no change in the rating and it is just returning with a "You solved it!"... What do I do..? :'(

This discussion board is a place to discuss our Daily Challenges and the math and science related to those challenges. Explanations are more than just a solution — they should explain the steps and thinking strategies that you used to obtain the solution. Comments should further the discussion of math and science.

When posting on Brilliant:

  • Use the emojis to react to an explanation, whether you're congratulating a job well done , or just really confused .
  • Ask specific questions about the challenge or the steps in somebody's explanation. Well-posed questions can add a lot to the discussion, but posting "I don't understand!" doesn't help anyone.
  • Try to contribute something new to the discussion, whether it is an extension, generalization or other idea related to the challenge.
  • Stay on topic — we're all here to learn more about math and science, not to hear about your favorite get-rich-quick scheme or current world events.

Comments

We have updated ratings and levels so that they only display for those who have done several problems in the topic.

For those (like you) who had only went through the diagnostic, you will need to do several more problems to confirm your level / rating. For example, you've started doing some problems in Computer Science. If you do 2-3 more problems, your rating and level should be displayed.

Ohh thank you.. But I guess there aren't many problems in level 5 for computers... So will I be stuck on level 4..?

Hi Mufazzar. Which class are you in? Your age is shown as 14 and you are level 5s in all topics. How do you do it? What are the extra resources you use?

@Shreya R Uhmm.. Well.. My father is a math teacher and he taught me math of higher classes very early since I was 5 or 6 and so I had gained interest in learning and I just read any mathematics book I come across.. Reading helps a lot..

Muzaffar Ahmed - 7 years ago

@Shreya R But you are quite good too.. Good levels.. And yeah, I am in 10th grade

Muzaffar Ahmed - 7 years ago
