What number satisfies b in this math 3-set numbers riddle?

I am really so confused and can't really get the ideas of producing the number in the right side from the numbers arithmetic operation or something on left side, can anyone help me? Thank you so much

So this is the Riddle set

$20, 16, 44, 7 = 5$

$b, 32, 22, 5 = 4$

$30, 66, 9, 48 = 3$
