A chemistry problem by Soumava Pal

Chemistry Level 2

Which of the following are aromatic, anti aromatic or non aromatic?

Type A for aromatic, A' for anti aromatic and N for non-aromatic.

So your answer is AA'NA , if compounds 1 and 4 are aromatic, 2 is anti aromatic and 3 in non-aromatic.

Here are the compounds: Compound 1: Compound 2: Compound 3: Compound 4:

(AA'A'N) (AAA'N) (AANA') (ANA'A)

Sorry this is out of context

Can anyone please tell me why is a ten membered ring with alternating double bonds ( similar to benzene but with 10 carbon atoms ) not aromatic? All carbon atoms are sp2 hybridised and there are 10 pie electrons in conjugation!
