A second pendulum length is increased by 300 % 300\% or 3 3 times

what is its period of oscillation(seconds)?

Note: A seconds pendulum is a pendulum whose period is precisely two seconds.

T 1 = 2 π L 1 g T_{1}=2\pi \sqrt{\dfrac{L_{1}}{g}} ......(1)

T 2 = 2 π L 2 g T_{2}=2\pi \sqrt{\dfrac{L_{2}}{g}} ........(2)

Here,

L 1 = L L_{1}=L

T 1 = 2 s T_{1}=2s

L 2 = 300 % L + L = 3 L + L = 4 L L_{2}=300\% L+L=3L+L=4L

Now,from equation (1) and (2) we get,

T 2 T 1 = L 2 L 1 = 4 L L = 4 = 2 \dfrac{T_{2}}{T_{1}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{L_{2}}{L_{1}}}=\sqrt{\dfrac{4L}{L}}=\sqrt{4}=2

So,

T 2 = 2 T 1 T_{2}=2T_{1}

T 2 = 2 × 2 s T_{2}=2\times 2 s

T 2 = 4 s T_{2}=4s

Where have you get T1= 2s??!!

Ooooo....look....I'm in class 9...I don't know about pendulum very much.....so I think you have to assume it..... It is better for others....
