B = Na2O2, g = HN3, F = NaSCN, d = Cr, α = Ph-COO-Ph . Phew! Never thought i'll get it right!

Correct !

Conplete solution will be appreciated ! BTW how was the q?

well! will try to add an image of the complete solution soon, and the question was amazing, but the sequence from K onwards (at the bottom of the page) really gives it away.

@Aniket Sanghi oh just that maybe i thought the sequence of reactions starting with K, Like K in red hot Fe tube and all that was a big hint in the question. Maybe it's just me ; )

@Ayush Agarwal Yeah! But that may have created problem if I would have given propyne in Fe tube . Or may be more critical one . So be careful :P

@Aniket Sanghi yeah! i thought of mesitylene as well but then EAS and further reactions clearly show that mesitylene isn't what you intended.

Ayush Agarwal - 4 years, 2 months ago

@Ayush Agarwal - i too felt that K in last line was a big hint
